'Bermuda's south shore beaches are famous for sea and sun. But in winter Mother Nature displays her power, reclaiming her throne with driving rain and thundering waves. For one Bermudian painter, nature's fury carries an almost spiritual beauty. John Kaufmann's dramatic seascapes carry a sense that there is something else there, something almost alive.
