'I was maybe six years old and the water was probably just above my knees. I don't remember exactly. But I remember the fish. I remember how they flit around me. I remember feeling like they each had their own little character. I remember thinking they might speak. I remember the sandy floor seemed to sparkly beneath them and the shoal of shadows in pursuit of the fish. This is that little boy's view where the world is bigger and brighter and right at your feet.'
