Charman Prize 2021

Exhibiting October 11, 2021 - April 2022

Established in 2008, with the opening of the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, the Charman Prize is a biennial competition for a visual art prize, open to artists in or from Bermuda. The Charman Prize is a unique showcase competition for art inspired by Bermuda, established to honour and support local and resident artists.

Sponsor and patron of the Charman Prize is Mr. John Charman, a local businessman and art collector. Artworks are judged by internationally selected judges, with prizes awarded on the artwork’s excellence according to the competition’s judging criteria. The exhibition is held every other year at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art.

The theme for The Charman Prize 2021 is:

“Bermuda, Our Island, in a Changing World”

The Masterworks Museum wants to especially thank Mr. Charman, for his continued patronage and commitment to the visual arts. Every other year, his support enables Bermuda’s community of artists, here and abroad, as well as their friends, family and art enthusiasts to come together and support art and artists of Bermuda.

The Charman Prize 2021 is open to the public, Museum hours are Mon-Sat 10am-4pm.

If you cannot make it to us in person, you can see all the artworks here.
